Natural Gas Coalition Awards Five $10,000 Scholarships to Deserving Students Pursuing Careers in Energy

April 23, 2024 – Our Nation’s Energy Future (ONE Future) today awarded five $10,000 scholarships to exceptional students who will be the next generation of innovators contributing to the sustainable development of the natural gas industry. For its third year, these scholarships are an extension of the coalition’s mission to reduce emissions and foster a skilled workforce that will drive advancements in technology, policy, and environmental stewardship.

Their exceptional intellect and unwavering dedication to not only their studies, but the energy industry, deserves to be celebrated,” remarked Jim Kibler, Executive Director of ONE Future. “As we invest in these bright minds, we are helping to foster a better future for our industry and for our planet. The ONE Future Scholarship winners are Katelyn Brennan of Colorado State University, Brian Clark of Southern New Hampshire University, William Gibbens of Louisiana State University, Michael Chase Hill of Texas A&M University College Station, and Cole Labay of Texas A&M University College Station.
About ONE Future: ONE Future was formed when seven companies came together in 2014 with a focus to collectively achieve a science-based average rate of methane emissions across our facilities equivalent to one percent or less of total natural gas production. Since our formation, we have grown to nearly 50 companies accounting for some of the largest natural gas producers, transmission, and distribution companies in the U.S. ONE Future members operate in 25 out of the 38 production basins and have distribution operations in 36 out of the 50 states, other segments of the value chain operate in multiple regions of the country as well.
