November 2, 2023 – Our Nation’s Energy Future (ONE Future), a coalition of more than 50 natural gas companies taking action to reduce methane emissions, yesterday announced the winners of its second annual ONE Future Awards. This year, these awards recognize companies that have impacted the industry by making material contributions to technology.

Additionally, ONE Future awarded five $10,000 scholarships to students preparing for a career in the energy industry. For its second year, these scholarships represent ONE Future member companies’ dedication to raising awareness of the good-paying, innovative careers in the natural gas sector and preparing future leaders to succeed in the workforce.

“The recipients of the ONE Future Awards are not only leading the natural gas industry in technological advancement, their continuous collaboration and commitment to innovation furthers our success to reduce emissions,” said ONE Future’s Executive Director Jim Kibler. “ONE Future believes in investing in the future and we’re proud to recognize not only those who currently contribute to the sustainable development of the natural gas industry but encourage our future leaders who will continue our mission of reducing emissions to less than 1%. Congratulations again to this year’s technology of the year and scholarship winners.”

The ONE Future Technology of the Year winner in the midstream category is WeldFit, by way of their ReCap product, and in the distribution category is Picarros’ e360 product.

The ONE Future Scholarship winners are Andrew Meyers (Auburn University), Cassie Gee (Notre Dame), Kammie Chandler (University of Tulsa), Katelyn Brennan (Colorado State University) and Riley Ries (Texas Tech). Read more about our scholarship winners here.

About ONE Future: ONE Future was formed when seven companies came together in 2014 with a focus to collectively achieve a science-based average rate of methane emissions across our facilities equivalent to one percent or less of total natural gas production. Since our formation, we have grown to more than 50 companies accounting for some of the largest natural gas producers, transmission, and distribution companies in the U.S. ONE Future members operate in 25 out of the 38 production basins and have distribution operations in 36 out of the 50 states, other segments of the value chain operate in multiple regions of the country as well. Therefore, ONE Future’s data represent a geographically diverse and material share of the U.S. natural gas supply chain. For more information visit onefuture.us.
