Michelle Mendoza serves as the Natural Gas Business Unit’s Director of Climate Strategy & Execution. She is responsible for leading the development and strategy towards the Natural Gas Business Unit’s decarbonization efforts.

Michelle began her 25-year career at Piedmont/Duke Energy as an Industrial Accounts Manager and later managed the Pipeline Services Team where she was responsible for procurement and management of interstate pipeline capacity, regulatory activities at FERC and the development of the annual Natural Gas Design Day requirements. More recently, she served as the Director of Federal Policy – Natural Gas where she invested several years identifying and understanding impacts to the natural gas business from state and federal legislation and regulation. Additionally, Michelle collaborates within several teams related to carbon reduction, methane emission reduction, and low carbon fuel initiatives. She serves on a variety of industry trade group committees at SGA, AGA, ONE Future, and NextGen Gas.

Michelle holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Economics from High Point University.
