Shawn Reynolds
Portfolio Manager for the active Natural Resources Equity Strategy, VanEck

Shawn Reynolds oversees the Natural Resources Equity Investment team, including asset allocation, company research and security selection for VanEck, a global investment firm. Reynolds joined VanEck in 2005. Prior to that role, he was an energy analyst at Petrie Parkman & Co. covering U.S. oil and gas exploration and production companies.

Previously, Reynolds has worked as an analyst at Goldman Sachs, Lehman Brothers (Australia) and Credit Suisse First Boston (London); covering North American, European, and global energy companies; and was an Exploration Geologist at Tenneco Oil Company. He has served as a board member for several private Latin American oil and gas exploration and production companies. Reynolds earned a BS in Engineering from Cornell University and an MBA (Beta Gamma Sigma National Honor Society), in Finance from Columbia Business School, and an MA (Phi Kappa Phi), in Petroleum Geology, from the University of Texas, Austin.
